Cone type tube seals are designed to prevent air ingress through tube penetrations for tubes that move laterally or less than 2" axially due to thermal growth. This seal has a flanged bottom for purposes of bolting it to the heater wall or floor.Cone type tube seals can also be attatched to collars, and have different closure arragnements, and have different material compositions.
The seal on the right is a seal designed to be installed on a collar, and has a laced up flap.The flaps can also be specially stapled together or hooked by the "D rings."

Here is a demostration of how the cone would extend and compress in an application. These pictures simulate a heater that has 2" or less of axial motion.

The picture on the left shows the seal if the heater were running. the picture to the right shows the seal if the heater were off.

These cones can be made to almost any size, such as the one below, which is a 42" diameter Manifold seal.
